The rest of the mother/daughter trip

A definite HIGHLIGHT  of the trip was that we got to visit MELODY!!!
Melody and I lived together in HAWAII so we are used to being in a beach atmosphere together.  When my mom came over to visit me in Hawaii, we all 3 shared a bed (well, two twin beds pushed together).  So Mel and my mom are close as well.  We loved seeing Melody and her cute son Corban.  She has always been an inspiration to me and makes me want to reach new heights :)

Walking to the pier in Huntington beach together.

Adorable Corban
I was IN LOVE with cute Corban!  Look at this cowboy hat and his little horse.  I was loving him!!

Cute Mo bought us matching beanies.  We loved them!
So I snapped a pic of this perched bird that she wants to paint. Smart.
We loved eating at Ruby's on the pier.
Later that day, my mom and I went golfing on Tiger Woods home golf course.  Ironically it was the cheapest one in town.  Probably because we got the twilight pass.  We couldn't afford NOT to golf!

I love that my mom's new sport is golfing.  I think that we enjoy riding around in the cart together the best.

Good job Mo!

We spent HALLOWEEN DAY in LAGUNA BEACH!

I couldn't even remember if I had ever been there before but it was absolutely gorgeous!

This was my new favorite friend.  One legged willy.  I swear he only had one leg.  I checked.  Some of you may argue that it is just tucked into his feathers.  No.  One leg only.  Great balance
See, look at all his friends below.  He inspired me to keep doing my yoga poses.  All of that standing on one leg may come in handy one day!
One day I will be laying out fully clothed too ;)  Nance wanted to rent a beach chair but then we went the thrifty route and made our own chair on the hill in the sand.
My mom was loving that our car rental was a fully equipped PT CRUISER.  Good times.

Lunch at her favorite place in Laguna.  This was such a memorable lunch because my mom told me all these juicy stories of our ancestors and how they fell in love, met, married etc.  It made me realize that some things never change!  Ups and downs and love and war etc.  Thanks mom for the great conversations!
We  borrowed Melody and Matt's beach cruisers and rode around town Halloween evening.  We got to see all the kid's halloween costumes and even got some candy from the stores on Huntington main street.
We LOVED this house with all the decorations.  It was fun looking around at all the beach houses. My mom loves to do that whenever we travel.
Our sunset bike ride view
California is becoming like a second home to me!  It's such a short plane ride over to the beautiful smell of the ocean breeze that I love so much.  Thanks mom for the mother/daughter trip!

I used to think....

That everyone should spend their birthday at the spa.  But now I think that everyone should spend their birthday at DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!
You all may be sick of hearing about my birthday BUT I had to write about Disney land.  Did you know that you get in

FOR FREE on your birthday?  It was so fun!  My mom and I flew over in the morning of OCTOBER 29TH and spent the day in Disneyland.  I just LOVED all of the decorations .  It was so decked out!

LOVED  all the matching flowers and holiday details!

JACK SKELLINGTON.  TIGHT!

THANKS for all the birthday calls and wishes.  LOve you all!

They gave me that fun "HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIN"  So all these random people were saying "Happy birthday Heidi"  all day.  I even found a harp in toon town and loved EVERY SECOND  of pirates!!

Look at the enterance.  So cute.  We got to see the parade and fireworks.  Best birthday ever!

Disneyland totally reminds me of ICE CREAM!  I get this big cone every time I go.  I will do the honors.
I wore the gold shirt to celebrate my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY.  When I was little, I remember hearing about your "GOLDED BIRTHDAY" (when the day of your birthday matches up with the age you are turning).  I was always so curious and wondrous about what my birthday would  be like when it was MY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY.  What?  I would be 29!!!???  Wow, little did I know that I would've chosen the same thing to do for my birthday when I was 9 as I would when I'm 29!
Ok yes, I am done talking about my birthday now.  But hey, I have the excuse that I have been looking forward to this one in particular for so many years!!

SO, HEARS TO A GREAT AND WONDERFUL YEAR OF MY GOLDEN 29!

And the birthday celebrations begin!

It all started on
SATURDAY NIGHT:

Ace threw me a birthday party at his house!  It's so fun because it has an amazing view.  We had lots of food, a DJ and fun.
Me, Alana and Ace with our new friend who just got drafted to the Jazz.  I forgot his name but watch for him next year.

Rock stars for life!!!

And a cute nurse!

I even got a BIRTHDAY CAKE that was made out of cup cakes.  It was great. Thank you!
As you can see some interesting costumes showed up to the party.  My favorite story was when this guy brought his GIANT BOA SNAKE!!!!  Good one!  What the?  It was just wrapped around his shoulders as part of his costume.  THEN, all the sudden it started smelling and the room cleared.  Come to find out, the giant Boa decided to take a BIG DUMP ON THE FLOOR!  GOOOOD OOONNEEE!!!  We were dying!
So as I'm sitting there trying to decided who is going to clean it up, this little girl dressed as a FRENCH MAIDE waddles on over and starts cleaning up the crap.  It was so funny!  I told my dad this story and he laughed for like an hour, I swear.

Then the party got broken up by the cops.  People were parking in front of driveways.  No bueno.
Thanks Ace and Mike and company!  I have known these guys since Hawaii days.  I'm so lucky to have such great friends in my life.
Having my birthday right by Halloween has always been so fun!  I love the spirit of Halloween and all the fun costumes people come up with.
