Getting together

Sometimes life gets so crazy that you realize it's been months or even years since you've seen some of your best friends. This last week I was able to see my college roommates who I love and learn so much from every time I am with them.
This is me and Andrea and her two cute kids. We cheered at USU together and now she just finished putting her husband through medical school. They are here for a year internship. Beccs saw this pic and said "What? She has 2 kids and is pregnant? She looks like she is 15!" That's a compliment Drea :)
The Davis dorm 201 crew got together at the new cafe Normandy by my house. It was VERY good. Go there. So fun to see them and laugh of course.

401K

That's right people....saturday morning we RAN the 401K RACE! It was a good time! Trace's good friend put on this race where you run from the CAPITOL to the GATEWAY. Here's the catch....
IN BUSINESS ATTIRE!! It was so funny. People were answering cell phones..

Yelling:

"We're late for a meeting"

"It's a race for unemployment!"

"Save our 401k's"

etc etc. We got some pretty crazy looks but it was funny :)


Back to Business!!!

Even the Bishop came!!!

Good job. We love Bishop Glade. He's not even my bishop but remembers I was Trace's mission comp, my work, what I like to do etc etc. He is awesome! I want to be more like that at remembering people and their interests so well.

Starting off the week right

That is exactly what we did when the BFF + Beccs went to 'The Proposal'. Best chic flick out for a while! Go see it. We loved it :)

Then we sat outside laughing and using Kels' hair to make me a brunette. Smart! I'm doing the brunette bob :)

Strawberry Days Rodeo

This place has the best strawberries ever! They are in a cup of cream. Totally worth going to the Rodeo:) It's in Pleasant Grove and we had a blast!
Of course we cozied up to white trash tattooed arms and COPS! It was funny, we took this pic then the police men gave us their emails so we would send them the pic. Only if we get out of our last few tickets! Bribery....smart :)
Of course I loved the motocross tricks!

Sarah is getting married!!

Hawaiian wedding here we come! I can't wait for Sarah's wedding in Maui this August. In the mean time we had a wedding shower Luau for her at Rosie's.
The BFF! We've all been friends since Pre school, Elementary and Jr. High. Love these girls!

Kels and Rose did the BEST DECORATIONS EVER! Thanks gals! My contribution was the costco bought sorbets. Smart. Go and get some, you will love them.

PRESENT TIME

And of course the inevitable lingerie ....followed up with the traditional honeymoon S-E-X talk (spelled out of course). This is when I learn alot and keep it in my pocket for the future. Then Rosie turns to me at the end and says "Don't worry Heids, you'll be able to participate one day." Thanks Rose :)

My first Triathlon!!

I finished my first triathlon last weekend in Lake Mead. It was way fun! I even got a medal:) Rosie's husband bart is a professional cyclist and is sponsored by MonaVie so he hooked us up with these sweet outfits. People were asking us how we got sponsored by MonaVie. Ha ha! Yea right..like we are sponsered!!


Beccs and I on the way down. Treats and all...you know it!! This is my mom's bike I took down. Good times. Rosie was laughing at my excellent bike. She has some pro bike. Whatever, it's cool!

It was absolutely gorgeous before the race at 6:00 AM.

Rosie and I before the race. I rode down with Beccs then met up with Rosie to do the race. She was the biggest help to me showing me the ropes, fixing my bike, etc etc.

Everyone wrote their numbers on their arms and ages on the calves. It was fun to see everyone's ages as they passed you or you passed them! I loved it when someone 77 years old passed me. Good times!

Go 35!! Ok, so now I better tell THIS race's catastrophe for me. So I rented a wetsuit online when I registered for the race. When I went to pick it up that morning they informed me that they sent an email out saying they wouldn't have them anymore (we all know how great I am at checking the email....currently 2438 unopened in inbox!) ha ha. Anyways so I had NO WET SUIT. I didn't think it was a big deal but apparently everyone else did. People looked at me like I was some kind of celebrity or something saying "wow, that's legit. No wet suit?" Rosie asked if I was still going to do it. I was like "Of course!" Apparently people use them not only for warmth but for buoyancy as well.
I do have to thank Hawaii for it's big waves and me swimming in them daily when I lived there. The swimming in the tri was actually my favorite part! No salt water and no huge waves. Most people don't really like the swimming. The bike was my toughest part. Gotta get to spin class and as Rosie said "Um yea, you'd do alot better on a better bike!" :) Ok ok.
The running was fun. You are tired but metally it was ok cause in my head I kept thinking "da, I can do this...i just ran 13 miles a few weeks ago!"
